FOOD SENSITIVITY TESTING
The term food allergy, food intolerance and food sensitivity all refer to abnormal reactions to food and all the terms are often used interchangeably. IgG delayed food sensitivities are what we specifically test for in our clinic and tend to develop slowly over time; and in tern create inflammation and contribute to a wide variety of unpleasant symptoms that Doctors often find hard to treat effectively. These sensitivities fall under what is known as a Type lll Hypersensitivity (IgG-mediated allergy/food sensitivity/delayed hypersensitivity), and once identified can be life changing.
Symptoms can be seen within several hours or even days after ingestion; hence why one may not have a clue what is aggravating them.
Below is a list of common symptoms that can be seen due to Type lll Hypersensitivities:
- Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS)
- Headaches
- Migraines
- Fatigue
- High Blood Pressure
- Eczema
- Asthma
- Joint Pain
- Runny Nose
- Arthritis
- Weight Problems
